Motown piano heads to NYC for rehab, thanks to Paul McCartney | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

The ex-Beatle is funding work by specialists at Steinway & Sons, who will refurbish the instrument after years of disrepair. The piano was played on innumerable Motown recordings in the 1960s, and has been on display at Detroit’s Motown Museum, where McCartney spotted it during a visit in July.
